Submay: Gare de Lyon


This stop. Gare de Lyon, Paris.

Gare de Lyon is one of the more interesting stations on the Paris Metro. For history buffs, it is one of the original eight stations that made up the metro when it opened on July 19, 1900. For nature lovers it's probably the Line 14 platforms, which opened in 1998 that stand out.


Yes that's a real exotic garden in the station. And no, it's not a bathroom substitute. In fact walking through it is also prohibited.
