Submay: Kievskaya

This stop. Kievskaya Station, Moscow.

Another striking work of art and architecture on the Moscow Metro. It was opened in 1953. Kievskaya, with its marble-clad walls and decorative-framed mosaics, probably best exemplifies a style that some have dubbed "Stalin Baroque".

For commies the Russians sure knew how to luxuriate.
